It's Just a Snack! — Or Is It “Jawani Pops”?

Sunday evenings usually meant one thing in our house—weekly vegetable shopping. While I was busy choosing vegetables, the father-son duo quietly took charge of buying snacks. They returned proudly with a bag full of colourful packets. Little did I know one of those packets was about to introduce me to a completely new snack! 😄

Scene One — Sunday Shopping

Me>>What all things you have got?

My husband>>Got everything which he wants..

Discussion ends there.

Scene Two — Snack Time

Evening snacks time..

I handed him his cup of milk .

and there he goes..

>>"Mumma मला जवानी पॉप्स दे "

My eyes almost popped out..

>>" काय देऊ तुला?"

>>अगं अस काय करतेस तू ? काल आणलंय ना मी 

Me on my way to kitchen wondering ( loud self talk )what जवानी पॉप्स  look like 😃

>> तुला माहिती नाही का ..शंतनू ला पण माहिती आहे मी त्याच्याच tiffin मध्ये खाल्लं 

Curiosity completely took over

I opened the new snack pack and 

there it was..

🌽 **जवारी पफ** 

Or according to my little food critic... 

 ## **जवानी पॉप्स! 😂**

Maybe this name will actually sell more packets! 😆 

These little mispronounced words disappear as children grow up, which is perhaps why they become some of our most treasured memories.
